Autentic Claude connector
The Autentic connector lets an authorized Autentic user ask Claude to read study structure, aggregated results, participant-session summaries, transcripts, quotes, and video evidence from studies they can already access in Autentic. Superadmins can also update participant-session status and review decisions.
Before you connect
- You need an active Autentic account.
- Your account must have access to at least one organization and study.
- Claude only receives data returned by the tools you call in the conversation.
- The connector does not create, edit, delete, launch, or export studies.
- Superadmins can change eligible participant-session statuses and review decisions. These changes affect the shared study and are visible to other authorized users.
Connect in Claude
- Open Claude and go to connector settings.
- Add a custom connector.
- Use
Autenticas the connector name. - Enter
https://mcp.autentic.ai/mcpas the MCP server URL. - Start the OAuth flow and sign in with the same Autentic account you use in the app.
- After Claude confirms the connection, ask Claude to list your Autentic studies.
Charts in reports
Ask your assistant to read the chart guidance and study results, generate charts, and embed them in a Word document, PDF, or presentation. Document charts default to Paper & Blue; standalone charts use Editorial Blue; request your own brand style when needed. Captions can link to the original question, which requires sign-in and study access.
File creation depends on your assistant's available tools. Enable code execution and file creation where supported. If unavailable, the assistant can provide a data table and chart specification; compatible hosts can still display Autentic chart cards.

Superadmin actions
The two session-management tools are listed only for Autentic superadmin accounts; other accounts, including organization admins, do not see them. Both tools are marked as destructive actions so Claude can request approval before a change.
-
set_session_statuscan discard a completed session or complete a discarded or abandoned session. Discarding removes the response from the deliverable; completing a session triggers summary and analysis processing. -
set_session_reviewcan record a review decision on a completed session or clear a stored decision. It updates the reviewer and review timestamp. - Check the target session and intended change before approving either action.
Example prompts
- "List the Autentic studies I can access."
- "Show the results for the pricing study and summarize the biggest objections."
- "Find evidence behind the top churn themes and include respondent labels."
- "List completed sessions for this study, then open the most recent one."
- "Show me video clips of participants reacting to the new packaging."
Data handling
Autentic tools return only data available to the signed-in Autentic user. Permission checks use the same account and organization access model as the Autentic dashboard.
Tool calls are audited with the user, tool name, target study or session when present, outcome, approximate response size, IP address, user agent, and timestamp. Network identifiers are retained for a limited period and then redacted while preserving the access record.
The connector uses bearer tokens in the Authorization header. Tokens are not accepted in URL query strings. Each request is authenticated through Clerk and checked against the user's current Autentic permissions.
See the Autentic Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
Disconnect or revoke access
- Remove the connector from Claude connector settings to stop Claude from using it.
- To revoke the underlying authorization, contact Autentic support. Removing a connector from Claude is separate from changing your Autentic account permissions.
- Contact your Autentic administrator if your Autentic account or organization access should change.
- For privacy requests, contact privacy@autentic.ai.
Troubleshooting
Claude cannot connect or asks you to sign in again
Check that the server URL is https://mcp.autentic.ai/mcp. Sign in with your
Autentic account and retry the connection. If authorization has expired or been revoked,
reconnect through Claude's connector settings. Contact support if the problem persists.
A study or session is missing
Open Autentic with the same account and confirm that you can access the study there. Ask your administrator to check your organization and study access. A restricted or unknown study or session may be reported as not found.
A session change is refused
Confirm that you are a superadmin and that the session is in a state supported by the action. Ordinary users can read and export authorized results but cannot use these session-management tools.
A card is blank or a video will not play
Retry the display tool in a new conversation and check that your Claude client is up to date. For video, request the evidence again to obtain fresh playback access. A recording may still be processing or may have failed ingestion; ask Claude to report the tool's availability diagnostics. Contact support if a ready recording remains unplayable.
